Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre at UBC

Between the fall of 2021 and fall of 2022, we made several subtle but impactful changes to the main website of the Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre at UBC. Updates included a new palette, application of consistent typography throughout, removal of redundant pages and content, and improved use of imagery to enhance page layouts. A mini-site within the site was also created for UBC’s annual Orange Shirt Day campaign.
In addition to the improvements made to the site, we performed an audit of the Centre’s main and collections websites and proposed a new site architecture and preliminary designs for a site that would merge the two into one and provide a more cohesive user experience.
