Each year, the New Relationship Trust Foundation (NRT Foundation) has granted scholarship and bursary awards to several First Nations students pursuing their post-secondary educational goals. In 2016, NRT Foundation, along with a number of funding partners, awarded the highest number of awards yet – 245! Since the program’s inception in 2007, 1717 awards and $7.9 million in funding have been granted.
We have produced this recipients’ brochure since the program’s inception and it is one of my favourite projects to work on each year. It’s so heartening to see the many young (and not so young) people who are making their own dreams a reality and working to create better lives for their families and communities. I particularly love how authentic the bios are! Have a look inside.
