About

If we’re going to work together, there are a few things you should know about me:

I love a good story

I believe that story-telling is a powerful tool. Everyone has a story and I feel that real peoples’ stories are usually the most interesting ones. I like helping people and organizations tell their stories in ways that are meaningful, impactful and authentic.

I am values-driven

Ever since I was a child, I’ve wanted to make a difference. I like to get behind a good cause and feel like part of the solution. These days I am thinking a lot about the health of our oceans, the connection between people and place and how we can reconcile and restore the rights of Indigenous peoples. Other things as well, but it’s the issue that motivates me above all else.

I am a writer, producer and communications strategist living in the Pacific Northwest region that is the traditional home of the Coast Salish peoples. I have been self-employed since 1996 and my focus is on projects that contribute to social, environmental and cultural sustainability. I have worked extensively with the non-profit sector and First Nations, as well as with governments and the private sector. I work independently for the most part, but can assemble teams of creative and technical professionals on an as-required basis.

In 20+ years of self-employment I have done a lot of different things, but at the end of the day it’s these two traits above that motivate me above all else. In short:

I like to tell stories that matter.

Services

Over 20+ years of self employment, there is a lot I have done. And if I haven't, I have a talented group of creative collaborators who I can call upon, whether it's to design and build a website, facilitate an engagement session, produce a short film or facilitate a community engagement. If you don't see it here, just ask.
